I know I'm way behind commenting on this, but I finally caught the alternate ending of The Hills, and [SPOILER ALERT!] as happy as I am to see LC return, I kind of like the original ending better.
When they pulled away the curtain to reveal a TV set it was, at best, mind blowing (and at its worst, it confirmed what many of us had already believed that the show was completely fake). Was it just a stab at the haters? Or was the whole thing scripted? The original finale would keep the rumor mill running long after the final bow.
MTV has side-by-sides of the two versions of the finale.

Trashy... or Not.
It's no secret I have a love/hate relationship with reality shows... Okay, wait, actually it's probably just a love/love relationship. Whatever. Here is what I can't get enough of right now...
Dad Camp
Pregnant girls deem their boyfriends to be unfit (future) father's and sign them up for daddy boot camp. In all reality, the show should be called 'Parent Camp' because, while the guys do have their fair share of issues, the girls can't be perfect. And isn't it supposed to be a partnership anyway? Let's work together here, people. (VH1)
OCD Project
This show seriously freaks me out. People with OCD going through rehab to try to get better. You know how you watch shows like Rock of Love and say, "These people are crazy!" Well, guess what. These people really are. (VH1)
The Hills
I give up on this show. I come back. I give up. I come back. And in what is arguably the worst season, you would think I wouldn't be 'back', but I am. There isn't anything particularly interesting going on (oh, except Heidi and Spencer are completely insane), but here I am, week after week, still watching. I may have even added it to my DVR...? If nothing else, I get to see pretty clothes, pretty hair, and pretty boys (Brody). I'm sold. (MTV)
The City
I have never watched this show. I always thought Whitney was (cute but) boring on The Hills, so I had no intention of following her to NYC. But then I discovered Olivia. Is this a joke? How does she have a job? I understand the job is probably fake anyway (the whole show is pretty much an extended ad for Elle/People's Rev/Whitney's line), but this girl is ridiculously bad at her job. Watch it just for that. (Oh and again, the pretty clothes). (MTV)
Downtown Girls (NOT)
I watch five minutes of this and stopped. No, thank you. (MTV)
You're Cut Off
Now, this is true, VH1 trashy reality TV... and I love it. The title pretty much explains it all, but it follows a group of rich, spoiled princesses who get cut off by their families. They live in a normal house and have to cook, clean, and gasp! drink boxed wine. Hilarity ensues.
Is it a coincidence that all these are on MTV/VH1.... nope, probably not. But it is convenient. In case you haven't heard, check me out: I want to be MTV's first TJ!

The Heidi and Spencer Show
Yes, it used to be called the Hills.
They should change that.
Check out trailer for the new (and final) season on MTV's 'hit.' Usually the trailers get me totally pumped, and then the season bores me, but this time around, the whole thing looks pretty snoozey to me. All I care about it watching that Heidi 3.0 reunion with her family in Colorado.
Do I look good?
Awkward silence.

Kristin = bitch? you be the judge.
This may surprise you, but I am NOT a Hills fanatic. I know, hard to believe, especially considering all the other trashy TV that I watch (pretty much anything and everything VH1 puts out there). But last night, I gave in to MTV's dramatic 'the bitch is back' marketing ploy and watched the premiere of the Hills.
Unless you have been living in a cave the last few years, you probably know a little bit about the history of this show. Here's a refresher:
In 2004, back when the OC was a hit, MTV developed what Wikipedia refers to as a 'partially scripted' show called Laguna Beach, documenting the lives of a group of teenagers in Orange County, Calif. From this show emerged two major stars- Kristin Cavallari and Lauren Conrad (known then as LC).
The problem with high school kids? They graduate. The great thing about kids whose sole job is being a reality star? They don't mind if you give them a spin-off. And thus, out of Lauren's graduation and big move to LA, The Hills was born.
After five glorious seasons (technically four and a half... MTV is weird), Lauren decided that five years as a reality star was enough for her and she left the show. This left her 'supporting cast' of Audrina, Lo, Stephanie, Brody, and yes, even Speidi, without a star. What was MTV to do?
They bring in the bitch.
At least, that is what they are calling her. Kristin Cavallari has apparently been in the casts' lives this whole time- dating Brody, setting up Heidi and Spencer (thanks a lot), and remaining friends with Lo- and now she is back in a big way.

On last night's premiere, she wasted no time rustling feathers- flirting with and eventually going on a date with Audrina's ex Justin Bobby. Oh, that was after the girl fight at Speidi's party (Kristin vs. Stephanie and Audrina). The girls spent the whole night gabbing about how Cavallari was going to ruin their lives (and apparently the lives of every other female in LA), but, tell me if I'm crazy here, I personally like Kristin. I was always Team Kristin on Laguna (she had cute hair), and I don't really mind her 'evil' ways.
I actually think that Audrina is the one in the wrong here. In the beginning of the episode, she is asking Lo and Steph about Kristin and even says she will give her a chance. Then at the party, when Kristin goes and talks to Justin Bobby, Audrina remarks that 'friends' don't do that. Um, are you 'friends'? Have you met? I thought you didn't even know her. Audrina, are you saying no girl should ever be allowed to talk to Justin Bobby because you dated him first?
I don't know why I like her. Maybe because she still has pretty hair. Or maybe because she isn't really dramatic; drama just sort of finds her (in this case, Steph and Audrina were way too quick to jump to conclusions and start yelling at Kristin, who was just talking to Justin Bobby). Or maybe it is because I think she is funny, chill, and yes, sometimes, slightly bitchy.
But aren't we all?

I return to The Hills
I have kind of stopped watching The Hills because it is annoying and stresses me out, but tonight I was subconsciously looking for an excuse not to do homework (hence the blogging) and decided to watch it. Boy have things changed! Justin Bobby speaks. And he got a haircut and is hot. Heidi is working. Lo, Audrina, and Lauren move in together- kind of. And apparently Stephen was on it last week? What have I been missing. I might have to start watching this little 'reality' show again...

Another reason to hate Mondays
We all hate Mondays. That is pretty much a given. Back to school, back to class, back to meetings, no more fun. At least there is good TV though, right? RIGHT! Problem is- there is too much good TV on Mondays!
Greek (7pm, ABC Family)
Gossip Girl (7pm, CW)
Dancing with the Stars (7pm, ABC)
One Tree Hill (8pm, CW)
The Hills (9pm, MTV)

Back from break and ready for TV time!
Man, spring break was a killer for my blogs! Can you believe my resort did not have free wireless in the rooms?
Anyway, in the last couple of weeks things have been shuffled around quite a bit. We saw the midseason finales of my beloved One Tree Hill, Lost, America’s Best Dance Crew, and the Gauntlet. On the other hand, we gained Dancing with the Stars, The Hills, Greek, and the one-time fave Gauntlet Reunion. Some thoughts-
America’s Best Dance Crew
Happy or not? I’m not. I was so rooting for Status Quo to win, but apparently I was the only one. Of all my friends who watch, they all wanted JabbaWockeez and gave me very puzzled looks when I said I liked my Quo boys better. Here is why-
Showmanship: While Jabba’s masks and gloves give cool illusions, I can’t see how much fun they are having out there, even though they probably are. When Status Quo dances they look like they are having so much fun, I really do want to get out there and dance too.
Stunts: I’ve seen Jabba do some break dancing, but nothing like the stunts Status Quo does. My thing is, yeah Jabba makes up cool dances, but if they taught those to Status Quo, they could do them too. But if Jabba had to do a human jump robe? I don’t think they could pull it off.
Oh well, now I’m just waiting for Season 2 and hopefully a Season 1 tour. What do you think Mr. Jackson?
Gauntlet III Finale and Reunion Show
Don’t even get me started on this one. Geez. I could write all day about this finale, but I will just say that I wish the Rookies had lost. The Vets should have ‘trimmed the fat’ and got rid of Eric in the beginning if they thought he would be such a hindrance in the final mission. Hindsight’s a bitch I guess.
As for the Reunion show? Brilliant. Why isn’t this show on all year long? For something that bothered me all season long, the couple’s news was probably the highlight of the enchanted evening with our favorite cast members.
Frank and Jillian living together. Brad and Tori spending a lot of time together. Derrick and Paula? Not so much. CT and Diem, according to Katie, are very ‘done’. Wes and Johanna split up as well. Danny and Melinda? They didn’t mention them, but I’m assuming they are together. When asked about Casey and Bananas, the cast just laughed. The best though? While Ev and Brooke are obviously not together, the host asked Ev about a rumor that Brooke was dating one of her ex-girlfriends, and Ev (looking very pissed off) said she didn’t want to talk about it. Ha!
Oh and Evan and Kenny? Still very much BFFs, and still very hot. Sad that they don’t talk to Big Easy any more, but still. Evan, if you are out there and reading this (unlikely), I am pretty sure if you met me we would fall in love. Just sayin’.
Dancing with the Stars
Already kicked off- the magician and the tennis player. I’m surprised at how well Priscilla and Christian are doing. My fave so far though? This deserves drum rolls and lights and lasers and smoke… Jason Taylor. Holy cow. He is hot. I know it is still early but I want him and Edyta to win.
The Hills
This season premiere stressed me out. Not following iteniary, wearing an expensive dress you didn’t pay for out the night before you are supposed to wear it, burning that dress and noticing it only an hour before you were supposed to wear it, then getting a second dress and wearing it on a motorcycle?! Someone please stop her!
And here is why I am confused. Lauren was in Paris for like a week. Seriously, one week, and Brody has a new ‘girlfriend’. That was fast? But wait- does he even have a girlfriend? I don’t think so. Last night, he was psyched to see Lauren and she was a total bitch. I think the girlfriend thing is a misunderstanding.
Also, as much as I have been anti-Spencer, can these two please just get back together? They were less annoying as a couple than they are apart.
Greek
Finally! I love this show and am so happy it is back! I missed the season premiere and my internet is so slow I can’t even stand to try and watch it, but I had a friend fill me in before last night’s episode.

Does anyone else notice how good everyone on the show looks? Last night, Casey was like
glowing in that teal dress. And Cappie did something with his hair. Or maybe lost weight. I don’t know. And Evan? Wow, he looks hot. They must have given everyone makeovers or something.
In couples news, Jen K. should not have broke Rusty’s heart like that. I love Rusty. Also, Cappie needs to dump Rebecca and go for Casey. I was hoping for a hook up last night, but will have to wait. Next week perhaps?

Hills Preview!
The drama is back! And no, I'm not talking about all the great shows that will be returning now that the strike is over (although that is fantastic!). I'm talking about the most dramatic of all reality shows- The Hills. Lauren, Heidi, and the whole gang return Monday, March 24, with eight all new episodes. Check out this special sneak preview, compliments lazoo85 at youtube.com.
